HIDDEN SIDEWALKS OF CARMEL VALLEY. Come and explore a network of hidden sidewalks in this pleasant Carmel Valley neighborhood north of Highway 56. This approximately 4.5 mile, mostly flat, moderate-paced hike stays on groomed pathways and sidewalks tucked away behind the houses in this North County neighborhood. Meet in front of the Pavilions store at 3850 Valley Centre Dr. in the Piazza Carmel Shopping Center just north of Highway 56. Take the Carmel Creek Road exit and go north.
