Today’s hike is 10 miles with an estimated 1100’ elevation gain. Beginning at Penny Pines in Mt. Laguna, we will take the Big Laguna Trail to its intersection with the Sunset Trail, hike the entirety of the Sunset Trail, then return to PP via the Big Laguna & connecting trails. Directions: Take I-8 east to Sunrise Highway. Turn left after exiting and drive to Penny Pines, mile marker 27.8 on Sunrise Highway. Adventure Pass or equivalent required for parking. There are no toilet facilities at Penny Pines.
