This is Raptor Ridge hike, part of Coast-to Crest Trail
This route starts out in nursery grounds then crosses the road, traveling alongside the San Dieguito River riparian area before heading up onto Raptor Ridge. You'll pass a few shady oaks along the ridge. There is a good view across the San Pasqual Valley to the Wild Animal Park from the top of the ridge.Old coach Staging area.
From I-15, exit 26, West Bernardo Dr./Pomerado Road.Head East,Pomerado Road. Turn left onto Highland Valley Road. Drive 2.4 miles. Dirt parking lot on Right.This will be 5-6 miles,400 feet elevation gain.

Bring sun hat,water,snack,poles,hiking boots.Hike leaves at 8:30.
