WALKABOUT WILDERNESS LITE HIKE FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 25TH.

We will meet at 8:30 am.  The parking lot fills up quickly.  We will be hiking between 4 and 6 miles, and will be exploring a few trails around Mission Trails Park, including taking a look at the river. Hopefully it will still be pretty full! We will start from the Jackson parking lot, do the BMX loop, and take Mission Gorge Rd. to get to Rancho Mission Canyon Park and take a trail from there. The elevation will be about 1000 feet. I expect that we will find some muddy sections so be prepared. We will make our way to Mission Trails Park and explore a couple of other short trails.

Boots are strongly recommended and so are hiking poles.  Bring a snack and water.  The weather prediction is for a sunny day in the 60s.

DIRECTIONS:  From 15 North take 52 East. Exit on Mast Blvd. turn left. Stay on the furthest lane to the right; turn right onto West Hills Pkwy, right on Mission Gorge and again turn right on Jackson Dr. Drive in and you will see the parking lot. Coming from 8 West, exit on Mission Gorge Rd. and head North on Mission Gorge, turn left on Jackson Dr. Drive in and you will see the parking lot.
