Walkabout Wilderness Wednesday Lite Hike, April 12, 2023
Penasquitos Canyon should be open since it hasn’t rained in a while Emoji

We will do a loop hike at the Penasquitos Canyon Preserve West Trail for 7+ miles to the water fall and along the stream, with about a 400 feet elevation gain.

We will leave at 8:30 AM in the parking lot for Los Penasquitos Trailhead West (around 4300 Sorrento Valley Blvd – I do not have an exact street number). If you are traveling from Interstate 5, you will go through the industrial park along Sorrento Valley Blvd. About ¼-1/2 mile from the office buildings, and before you go up the hill, there will be a sign on your right for the parking lot. If you go to the top of the hill, you’ve gone too far.

If you are traveling from Interstate 15, soon after the name of the road changes from Calle Cristabol to Sorrento Valley Blvd, and you go down the hill, the parking lot will be on your left. If you get to the office buildings, you have gone too far.

Feel free to invite others who are fully vaccinated or send me their email address to be added to this distribution list!

For questions contact Willa (willa.fields@sbcglobal.net or 619-925-0450). On the day of the hike, text me since my phone may not ring if you are not in my address book.

Looking forward to hiking with you,

Willa
