Hike starts promptly at 8:30 AM.

Mission Valley carpool, if there is one, leaves at 7:35 AM. In case no one else shows up at the carpool place, you should be prepared to drive yourself.

Today’s hike is about 9 miles. Park at the Iron Mountain Trailhead parking lot that is at the junction of Poway Rd. and Hwy. 67. We’ll hike on the Ellie Lane Trail uphill past Table Rock and the Ramona overlook continuing to the end of Ellie Lane Trail where it meets with the Iron Mountain Trail. From there we’ll continue to the Peak of Iron Mountain. The hike back from the peak is to Ellie Lane and Iron Mountain Junction. From there it is 1.5 miles back to the parking area on Hwy. 67.
